Vice Restored

This cast iron vice was restored following a fire.  The fire heavily effected a business's contents.  You can notice all the black soot that coated the cast iron.  We soaked this vice in our ultrasonic cleaning machine for a few minutes.  The ultrasonic waves got into all the crevices of cast iron to clean it and remove the soot residue.  We then rinsed the vice and wiped dry.  The customer is very happy because now we are able to return some of the items following the fire.  Which make it one less item he has to buy and replace.  We are able to save the customer and their insurance company money as well for us the use of the ultrasonic machine it takes a lot less time to restore the item to preloss condition.  Our customer was very thrilled they were getting their items back quickly following the event so that business could get back to normal quicker.
